The Bay Area FasTrak Customer Service Center handles all Golden Gate Bridge toll payment inquiries, including FasTrak inquiries, Toll Invoice inquiries, and Toll Violation inquiries. Expressive Activity Permits

Some expressive activities and all special events require an advance permit. Visit our Permits section for current guidelines.

Filming & Photography Permits Required

An advance permit, with associated fees, is required for filming or photography for all commercial uses of recordings and images taken on the property of the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District. Visit our Permits section to see if you will require a permit. To apply for a permit, email filming@goldengate.org with as much detail as possible. Permits require a 30-day advance request.

Our Customer Service Center hours of operation are weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We are closed weekends and the following holidays: New Year's, Presidents', Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving, and Christmas days. 

Lost and Found

Golden Gate Transit: To inquire about an item left or lost on a Golden Gate Transit bus, call the Golden Gate Customer Service Center at 415-455-2000. If recovered, items (except bicycles) may be retrieved from our Customer Service Center located on Platform D at the San Rafael Transit Center. Hours of operation are weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Lost bicycles may be retrieved from the Golden Gate Transit administrative offices at 1011 Andersen Drive in San Rafael during weekday business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

Golden Gate Ferry: To inquire about an item left or lost at a Golden Gate Ferry terminal or on a ferry vessel, call 415-925-5565 and leave a detailed message with your name, contact information, a description of the lost item, date and time of loss, direction of travel, vessel, etc. If found, you will be contacted with details on how to retrieve your item.

Bus Stop Closure Permits

If you are seeking to temporarily alter or close a Golden Gate Transit bus stop for construction or other activity, a minimum of 10 business days advanced notice is required. 

Note: This permit does not replace other permits required by the local jurisdiction affected by street closures or detours.
